Pranayama Workshop
Pranayama Workshop
Take a deeper breath, literally.
Join us for a beginner-friendly exploration of pranayama, the yogic practice of working with the breath to calm the mind, energise the body, and reconnect to yourself.
While pranayama is often simplified as "breathwork", its roots go much deeper. In Sanskrit, prana means life force, and ayama means expansion, extension, regulation, or control. Pranayama is about more than just breathing — it’s about learning to work with your inner energy and your nervous system, using ancient tools that feel more relevant than ever.
In this 75-minute workshop, we’ll explore a range of simple, effective breathing techniques — no prior yoga or meditation experience needed. You’ll be guided through:
🔹 Ujjayi
🔹 Viloma
🔹 Kapalabhati & Bhastrika
🔹 Bhramari
We’ll explain the purpose of each practice, how to do it safely, and how to take these techniques off the mat and into your daily life.
This session is inclusive, accessible, and open to everyone. Whether you’re curious about pranayama, looking for ways to manage stress, or want to deepen your yoga practice — you’re welcome here.
Koha/donation-based — pay what you can.
