Gay Men’s Bali Retreat 2026
Tue 13 - Mon 19 October
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings for the Gay Men’s Bali Retreat 2026 (the “Retreat”). By submitting a room request and later making payment, you agree to the following.
1) Room request and booking confirmation
Submitting the online form is a request for your preferred room, not a confirmed booking.
We will confirm availability by email before requesting any payment.
Your booking is only confirmed once we receive your deposit (or you send proof of payment for bank transfer).
Room allocations are processed in the order of completed deposits.
2) Payment options
You may choose one of the following:
Pay in full, or
Deposit + instalments
Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Credit card will incur a 2.2% transaction fee.
If you choose Deposit + instalments:
Instalments are calculated as (Room price − deposit) ÷ 3.
Instalment due dates will be outlined in your payment email.
Full payment must be completed no later than 30 July 2026.
3) Payment window and room holds
If your requested room is available, we will email you payment details.
From the time we send that email, your requested room will be held for 24 hours.
If we do not receive your deposit within 24 hours (or proof of payment), the room hold expires and the room may be offered to another guest.
4) Pricing, inclusions, and what is not included
Your Retreat fee includes accommodation at the Retreat venue and the scheduled Retreat activities and meals as advertised.
Your Retreat fee does not include flights, travel insurance, visas, airport transfers, transport to the venue, personal expenses, or any activities not listed as included.
5) Guest details, dietary requirements, and allergies
You agree that the information provided in your booking request is accurate.
You must disclose all allergies and relevant dietary requirements during booking, and update us if anything changes.
We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs, however we cannot guarantee a completely allergen free environment.
6) Health, fitness, and participation
The Retreat includes movement practices which may involve yoga, mobility, breathwork, and other wellbeing activities.
You are responsible for ensuring you are medically and physically able to participate.
If you have any injuries, health concerns, or conditions that may affect participation, we recommend you seek advice from your GP or healthcare provider before attending.
You agree to participate at your own pace and within your personal limits.
7) Accessibility and venue terrain
Please note that the Retreat venue includes stairs and uneven terrain. In particular, the yoga shala is accessed via spiral stairs.
By booking, you confirm that you are comfortable navigating stairs and uneven surfaces, or that you have contacted us in advance to discuss any concerns.
8) Conduct, safety, and community standards
This Retreat is designed as a space for wellbeing, personal growth, respectful connection, and community.
We ask all guests to maintain appropriate boundaries and respectful behaviour toward other guests, staff, and the venue.
Harassment, intimidation, discriminatory behaviour, or conduct that makes others feel unsafe will not be tolerated.
If a guest’s behaviour is disruptive or unsafe, we reserve the right to remove them from the Retreat. In this circumstance, no refund will be provided.
9) Alcohol and drugs
The Retreat is an alcohol free and drug free experience.
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
Indonesia has strict laws and penalties relating to drugs. Guests are responsible for complying with local laws at all times.
10) Photography, filming, and privacy
We may take photos or videos during the Retreat for marketing and community purposes.
We will aim to be respectful and will not intentionally share content that compromises a guest’s privacy.
If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please let us know in writing before the Retreat.
11) Public posting and local context
We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable.
While Bali is widely known as welcoming, homosexuality is illegal in Indonesia. For this reason, we ask guests to be mindful about public social media posts or content that could overtly identify this as a “gay men’s retreat” or draw unwanted attention.
This is simply a request for discretion and good judgment so the Retreat can run smoothly for everyone.
12) Cancellations, refunds, and transfers
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email.
Deposit
The deposit of $750 is non refundable under all circumstances.
Refunds
If you cancel, we may offer your room to another guest.
If we are able to fill your place, we will refund any amounts you have paid above the deposit, provided the cancellation occurs before 30 July 2026.
If we are unable to fill your place, no refund will be provided.
Final payment date
From 30 July 2026 (the final payment due date), no refunds will be provided, regardless of whether you have paid in full or by instalments.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation or interruption.
13) Transfers to another person
If you are unable to attend, you may arrange to transfer your place to another person, subject to our approval and room suitability.
Any payment arrangements between you and the replacement guest are private and are not managed by us.
Our cancellation and refund policy remains unchanged. We do not provide refunds outside of the policy in Section 12.
14) Changes to schedule, teachers, or activities
We may make reasonable changes to the Retreat schedule, facilitators, or activities due to weather, safety, venue requirements, or other circumstances. Any changes will be made with guest experience and safety in mind.
15) Force majeure
If the Retreat cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our control (for example natural disaster, severe weather event, pandemic restrictions, government travel restrictions, or venue closure), we will provide a full refund of all payments received.
We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur, including flights, accommodation outside the Retreat dates, travel insurance, or other travel related expenses. This is one reason travel insurance is required.
16) Participant responsibilities
Guests are responsible for booking their own flights, travel insurance, and making their own way to Bali and to the Retreat venue.
Once you arrive at the venue, the Retreat is all inclusive as advertised.
17) Travel insurance requirement
All guests must have appropriate travel insurance that covers international travel, medical care, and cancellation or interruption.
You may be asked to provide proof of travel insurance prior to the Retreat.
18) Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
